Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss (born August 21, 1967[121st, 1967 [1) is a Canadian actor from Canada. After her initial roles on television and film, she gained fame internationally for her portrayal in the role of Trinity in The Matrix series (1999-present). Memento (2000) was awarded the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) earned her the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress in an Supporting Character. She also portrayed Jeri Hogarth in various television series produced by Marvel Television for Netflix, especially Jessica Jones (2015-2019). Moss was living in Spain when she was approached for the role of Tara judge Nicholas Marshall's clerk in the drama series Dark Justice. This was her first appearance on television. The show was a success and she relocated from Barcelona to Los Angeles in 1992. Moss was forced out of Dark Justice after the third and final season. Elisa Heinsohn replaced her as Samantha "Sam". She attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena after her return and was later a star on the primetime soap opera of Fox Models Inc., a spin-off of Melrose Place, as a model. In July 1995, the series was ended. Matrix was a short-lived made in Canada show. She was a regular guest actor in television series which included Street Justice, Baywatch and F/X: The Series. [3] She won the Gemini Award nomination for Best Guest actor in Drama. She starred in many B-movie roles throughout the decade that included Flashfire (1994) as well as The Soft Kill(94), Tough Guy (1994), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (1996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
