Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actress, activist for animals and a writer, who has won numerous prizes. Ali MacGraw is known for her roles in films like Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. The desire to become an artist was in part influenced by her family background as a member of a New York family of artists. The first job she had was a photo assistant. After that, she switched to acting and modeling. Her first two movies she received recognition and won the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw's 1970 movie Love Story was an international hit, earning her the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within three years, she had been voted as the top female box office starter in the world. In Grauman's Chinese Theater in the year 1972, she had her name and footprints hand-engraved. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television show The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, was released. MacGraw was married three times.
